Bulgur & Walnut Helva


1 cup bulgur
1/3 cup sugar
4 tbs coarsly chopped walnut
2 tbs butter
1 tbs olive oil
2 cups hot water / milk
1tsp cinnamon


1. Heat olive oil and butter in a pan

2. add walnuts and roast for 1-2 mins

3. add bulgur and stir until it starts changing colour.

4. add the hot water/milk and place lid on pan to simmer on low heat for 10 mins or until the bulgur soaks up all of the water/milk.

5. add the cimmamon and stir through.

6. serve warm
